Happy Birthday Carol!!!
I remember when the band had travelled to Knoxville, TN to march in a parade; after the parade ended, we were given permission to explore the immediate area of town. The girls gathered around Randy because he was one of the larger guys in the band and they felt safer with him than many other guys.
I had Mr Wright for English my senior year; his class was always interesting. He listened to our thinking, but challenged our views about everything. He geve me the opportunity to preach in his country church on occasion during my senior year, and always supported me. I learned that I could trust his judgement, his views, and him as a person. He was the only teacher during my school years that had me paddled...Coach Meeks was called to the room and me and one other boy got to meet Coach Meeks in the hall...We had been distruptive in class and Mr Wright didn't put up with that. Mr Wright is someone I still miss from time to time,
Hope you have a great birthday!!
There are only a couple of teachers that made a profound impact on my life and Mr B was one of them. When I was in the fifth grade he started teaching me trumpet...it is an instrument that i still play after 50+ years. I will always remember him marching us in our halftime shows, making sure our lines were straight. I will never forget the time when we played "650 East March" instead of the correct piece during a rehersal for the band competition; the look on his face never changed, he just kept going as if that was the correct piece of music. He expected our best, and very few were not willing to give it to him.
Happy birthday. hope you have many more.
Happy early Birthday Chris.
Happy Birthday. Hope time has been kind to you.
She impacted my world like few teachers did. She challenged me, then encouraged me as I tried to learn the math she so loved. I remembered her encouragement in every college algebra, trig, and calculus class i ever took.

i was a struggling geometry student in the 9th grade when i had you for a teacher. Thanks for the effort you made then. i went on to finish college and get two Master's degrees, one in computer science and the other in business administration. Your encouragement that year kept me going and while the subject matter was challenging, the love of understanding math never ended.
Happy Birthday! seems like forever since we were little leaguers playing baseball in Baconsfield park.
