Audy Garrett Herndon, 72, of Macon, Georgia, passed away at home on Saturday, October 29, 2022, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM, on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home, with Captain Phillip Herndon officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service.

Ms. Audy was born in 1950, in beautiful Savannah, Georgia, to the late Willie Fred and Vivian Louise Smith Garrett. She moved to Macon, Georgia, and worked at Advanced Disposal for twenty-five years, referring to herself as the “Trash Lady”.

She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely. She loved baking and creating art in the form of cakes. She also loved Christmas, shopping, and eating good food.

Ms. Audy is survived by her daughters, Tammy Herndon (Angela), Lisa Herndon (Tim Becham), and Charli Mansfield (John); her brother, Fred Garrett (Kristie); her grandarlins, Jackson Lee Carter, Maddie Grace Mansfield, and John Garrett Mansfield; and her furry companion, “Bruiser”.

The family would like to express special thanks to: Dr. Mufid Ata Othman, Dr. Ihab Zaggout, Dr. Franklin Fuenmayor-Cardozo, US Renal Care Pine Street, and MedPro EMS for the loving and compassionate care given during her illness.

The family will receive guests at the home of Lisa Herndon.
