With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Beverly Conley, a remarkable woman whose warmth, charisma, and unwavering spirit touched everyone she met. She departed this world on June 16th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and excellence. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Beverly, lovingly referred to as “Babs”, grew up in Macon, GA, and graduated from H.R. Lasseter High School in 1969. She went on to graduate from the College of the Desert in California. For several years, she successfully managed marketing firms. This also included selling and marketing properties in Illinois and Georgia. Later in her career, she worked in telecom sales for many years. A true master of her craft, Babs was a natural in the world of sales. She had an uncanny ability to connect with people, turning clients into lifelong friends and colleagues into family. Her success was built not only on skill but on sincerity, and she brought passion and integrity to every endeavor.
Wherever she went, Babs made friends with ease. Her radiant smile, quick wit, and genuine interest in others made her unforgettable. She had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Babs loved traveling and cruising. She especially enjoyed the time she and her husband, Ron, spent on their yacht in Florida at Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club, where they were members for over twenty years. She was often seen walking the docks, watching the sunsets, and visiting with all the boaters, which brought her immense joy. Babs led an active life. She loved entertaining, dancing, music, and meeting new people. After dinner at Isla, she would head to the dance floor. She was always planning cocktail hour gatherings on the boat in Florida and brunch parties at the Conley home in the North Georgia mountains of Big Canoe. She loved to host dinner parties, lovingly setting the table with her grandmother’s china, crystal, and silver. She had a loving and proper upbringing in Macon, and she always talked about how that provided such a strong foundation for her life. She loved her family, her friends, God and country. She lived with a grateful heart and joyful spirit. Her standards were extremely high and she worked incredibly hard, pouring her heart into everything she did. She was a bright light that will be missed by many.
She was a devoted wife, stepmother, BB (grandmother), sister, aunt, and great-aunt, always putting loved ones first and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her love for family ran deep, her loyalty unwavering, and her presence a constant source of encouragement and joy.
Babs also had a deep appreciation for the finer things in life. She found beauty in elegance, joy in good food and wine, and delight in travel, as well as the little luxuries that made life sparkle. She lived with style and grace, never missing a chance to celebrate life’s special moments.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Conley; stepchildren, Eric Conley (Erica) and Kara Peterka, grandchildren, Ethan and McKenna; nephew, Sam Dyche (Robin); niece, Susanna Moore (Craig); cousin, Donna Smith (Dr. George Smith) and several great-nieces and nephews, and countless friends and colleagues who will carry her memory forward with love and admiration. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lelia Dyche; father, Frank Dyche; and brothers, Don Dyche and Bob Dyche.
Though she may be gone from our presence, Babs will forever remain in our hearts—an inspiration, a light, and a beloved soul who made the world a better place.
