William Randall "Randy" Murphy, a beloved resident of Gray, Georgia, was born on September 7, 1949, and peacefully passed away on November 21, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a passion for life that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Randy's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of outdoor adventures. He found solace in the beauty of nature, spending countless hours engaged in his favorite pastimes of hunting, fishing, and skeet shooting. His connection with the outdoors extended to his professional life, where he dedicated his efforts to the Georgia Department of Corrections and the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge. A man of diverse talents and experiences, Randy proudly retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco and RJ Reynolds after dedicating 30 years of hard work and commitment to his craft.

He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer Willis (Darren) and Dan Doster (Lea), and his brother, Rudy Murphy (Linda). His grandchildren, Allie Willis, Brady Willis, Taylor Pinnell (Blake), Laney Doster, and Katie Doster. Randy was also blessed with the joy of being a great-grandfather to Raelyn Kilian. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Rupert White Murphy and Eula Mae Hood Murphy, as well as his son, Dale Doster. While his physical presence may be gone, his memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
