IN MEMORIAM

Michael Jarratt Brown - Class Of 1967 VIEW PROFILE

Michael Jarratt Brown

December 6, 1949 - February 17, 2022

Mike Brown was a nice, quiet guy and a really good athlete who blossomed after graduation from Mark Smith in 1967. Although Mike was very small while in high school, he went on to coach and teach at Mercer Universary.

Mike was also the retired President-CEO of Families First LCC and an Adjunct Professor Of English at Miller-Motte Technical College-Macon beginning in 2016.

Mike lived in Warner Robins until he experienced a catastrophic car accident that left him with lingering head injuries. At the time of his death, Mike was living in a nursing home in Fredericksburg after his daughter moved him to Virginia a few years ago so that she could oversee his care.

Mike is survived by two children.

I knew Mike at Mark Smith. We had a Spanish Class together. Mike, Monk Mayhue, and I just about drove Miss Fernandez crazy. Putting cubicals in a room filled only with boys may be good for headphones but not for discipline. She could not see everyone at the same time. The whole class was at fault but we three were the worst.
May our Lord hold Mike close and give a peace only He could provide to the family.
