Donald Elkins Bush (January 24, 1951 - July 4, 2011), 60, of Macon, Ga. passed away on July 4, 2011, after a brief illness. He was born in Macon, to the late Arlene E. Bush and the late Thomas Gordon Bush, Sr. He retired after 30 years as an EMT, and most recently was employed by O'Reilly Auto Parts. He was an avid sports fan, especially of his Georgia Bulldogs. He had a passion for most styles of music. He graduated from Mark Smith High School, and received an AA degree from Middle Georgia College.

He was predeceased by his brother Thomas G. Bush, Jr. He is survived by a sister, Brenda B Brown (Ben) of Jacksonville, FL, a brother, Larry Bush (Jennie) of Macon, two nieces, Stephanie Brown and Lauren Bush, and 2 nephews, David Brown and Jonathan Bush.

Services will be held at Hart's Mortuary Thursday, July 7 at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Academy, 4652 Ayers Road Macon, GA 31210 or the Salvation Army.
