Charles Henry Hutchings IV
February 25, 1952 - February 16, 2018

Atlanta, GA- Charles "Chase" Henry Hutchings, IV, 65, passed away in Atlanta, Georgia on February 16, 2018. He was born in Waycross, Georgia in 1952 to Charles H. Hutchings, III and Roberta Williams Hutchings. He grew up in Macon, Georgia and attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School, Mt. De Sales Academy and graduated from Mark Smith High School. Charles received a BSBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

Charles began his career in banking institutions in Atlanta, Georgia in 1972. He later focused his career on financial industry consulting and software sales. Charles was a genealogy enthusiast, a lifelong student of history and enjoyed skiing, hiking, travel, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of over thirty years, Martha; son, Jeffrey (January Walker); daughter, Joan Gillard (Jason); brother, Thomas (Lynn); step-mother, Norma Hutchings; nephews, Jason (Jessica) and Brian (Bonnie); niece, Michelle; beloved grandsons, Jeffrey and Hayden; beloved granddaughter, Alana; great-nephews, Brooklyn, Bronson and Kaden; great-nieces, Ariyah and Zaida; aunts, Vernita Bryant, Gloria Hutchings, Gertie Rogers, Carita Berkley and Bettye Hutchings.
A celebration of life service will be held in Macon, Georgia on March 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church.

Hutchings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
