I'd like to take a moment and say a few things to honor my friend Andy.
Some of my longest lasting and strongest memories of my time in Macon are of time spent with Andy. We road the bus together, we fished together, we played pool together, and we spent many long nights working on his Jeep. I was introduced to tacos by Andy while we hung-out on Lake Sinclair. These are the memories !
While so many other negative things were going on in the daily news, I was able to put it aside while hanging out with Andy. He was a great friend and I am deeply sadened to hear of his passing. It is I think, a measure of the strength of our friendship - the fact that his passing has touched me so deeply.
I hope his family knows that many of us called Andy our friend. May you rest in peace dear friend.
… Once upon a time there was a tavern Where we used to raise a glass or two Remember how we laughed away the hours Think of all the great things we would do?
… Those were the days, my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way
Andy and I went to school together from Grammer School at Hall through the second year of college. I want to express my condolence to his two sons and their family. He was a great friend and will always be remembered.
Good. He blind sided me, hit me in the nose, cracked my eye orbit, broke my nose, and gave me a concussion. Spent 3 days in the hospital. To this day I still have sinus issues from this attack.
So sorry for the loss of another classmate. I hope peace can surround the family. We are so rapidly approaching or have arrived at that time of life that our classmates of years past seem to daily pass on. We have always never known when our time will come to an end, but with our advanced age, our perceived invincibility has deminished as the certainty of the outcome is more evident. Hope everyone is living the limited time we have left and are surrounded by love......

Andy was a good friend in high school that, as often happens, I lost touch with afterwards. Does anyone know what happened?Joseph Hamilton (1969)
