Macon, GA- Rev. Garry Willis, 62, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and Pastor joined his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, Fulton Mill Road with burial in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. David Moseley, Dr. Neal Wall and the Rev. Sean Beck will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. Those who wish may make memorial gifts to Calvary Baptist Church, 5046 Fulton Mill Road, Macon 31216.
Rev. Willis was born in Hawkinsville the son of the late Milton Arthur Willis and Virginia Lyles Willis. He served with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated with an Associate's Degree from Brewton Parker College and attended Luther Rice Seminary. He pastored Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Butler and for thirty-one years, was the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church (formerly known as Rivoli Crossing). Brother Willis was active within the Macon Baptist Association and most often was a part of local Veteran's Day and Memorial Day commemorations.
Survivors include the earthly family he cherished, his wife of forty-two years, Gail Sutton Willis of Macon; his daughters, Kerrie Willis (Brian) Welch of Bolingbroke and Amy Willis (Keith) Rouse of Forsyth; his beloved grandchildren, Emily Welch, Olivia Welch, Chase Rouse and Stevey Joy Rouse; his sister, Wanda Willis Darley of Macon; his cousin, Ronald Willis of Juliette; nieces and nephews, Matt and Jenna Darley, Jennifer Veri and Eddie and Audra Hughes, and many cousins.

Rev. Willis was born in Hawkinsville the son of the late Milton Arthur Willis and Virginia Lyles Willis. He served with the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated with an Associate's Degree from Brewton Parker College and attended Luther Rice Seminary. He pastored Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Butler and for thirty-one years, was the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church (formerly known as Rivoli Crossing). Brother Willis was active within the Macon Baptist Association and most often was a part of local Veteran's Day and Memorial Day commemorations.

Survivors include the earthly family he cherished, his wife of forty-two years, Gail Sutton Willis of Macon; his daughters, Kerrie Willis (Brian) Welch of Bolingbroke and Amy Willis (Keith) Rouse of Forsyth; his beloved grandchildren, Emily Welch, Olivia Welch, Chase Rouse and Stevey Joy Rouse; his sister, Wanda Willis Darley of Macon; his cousin, Ronald Willis of Juliette; nieces and nephews, Matt and Jenna Darley, Jennifer Veri and Eddie and Audra Hughes, and many cousins.
