Beverly Banks Cowart, born October 6, 1949, was a beautiful, caring southern lady who was living her dream-not just dreaming. She was the epitome of a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Beverly passed away on September 18, 2016. She is preceded in death by her father, David Banks.
Beverly leaves behind her son, Banks Cowart (Niki), grandson, Levi Cowart, all of Birmingham, AL, her mother, Ethlyn Banks of Macon, GA, brother, Leverette Banks (Barbara), and niece, Ansleligh Banks all of Andersonville, GA. Beverly is also survived by her sister, Camille Gard of Canton, GA.
Services for Beverly will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, GA. Visitation will be at 10:00 (EST) followed by the service at 11:00 (EST). In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Greystone Elementary School PTA, designated for the new playground. The address is 300 Village Street Birmingham, AL 35242.
Beverly's greatest joy was spending time with her grandson, Levi. What greater memorial to Beverly than to help Greystone Elementary PTA build a playground where Levi will be spending many happy hours playing in the years to come.
