Kathie Lynn (Lifsey) Williamson 

GRAY - Mrs. Kathie Lynn (Lifsey) Williamson passed away suddenly January 25, 2007 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Mrs. Williamson was born Kathie Lynn Lifsey to Arthur and Mary (Redd) Lifsey of Macon on July 22, 1953. Mrs. Williamson attended Lassiter High School, where she was a Majorette. Mrs. Williamson excelled academically, graduating at the young age of 16. Mrs. Williamson went on to receive her Masters of Education degree from Georgia College at age 19. Mrs. Williamson then went on to become a school teacher at Mattie Wells Elementary in Jones County, Georgia for 30 years, until she retired. Of all the accomplishments Mrs. Williamson achieved in her life, she was most proud of her two children, David and Mandi. She once said that even though she loved teaching, her favorite job was being their mother. Mrs. Williamson also experienced great love in her life from her husband, David Sr., and she had a great love for him as well. Even though Mrs. Williamson loved being a mother, she more so loved being "Meme" and no one gave her greater joy than her grandchildren, Kaleigh and Hunter. They were her heart.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, David B. Williamson, Sr. of Gray; a son, David Byron Williamson and wife Amy of Macon; a daughter, Mandi Wiggins and husband Phillip of Gray; Mother, Mary Redd Lifsey of Gray; brother, Ray Lifsey and wife Lehyn of Gray; two grandchildren, Kaleigh and Hunter Wiggins; Mother-in-law, Virginia Newberry of Macon; two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Lifsey. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening at the funeral home. Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of the arrangements.
