Ada Wynelle (Nelle) Ellis Wade -WARNER ROBINS - Ada Wynelle (Nelle) Ellis Wade, 88, died July 3 at Serenity Care Hospice in Perry, GA ending a lengthy bout with cancer. -Born in September 1922 in Crisp County, GA, Ms. Wade lived in Cordele for much of her childhood and early adult years and was a resident of the Macon and Middle Georgia area since 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents, Major Hope and Ruth Sargent Ellis; brothers Alton Ellis, Willard Ellis, and Major Hope Ellis, Jr.; sisters Joyce Butler and Peggy Ellis; and former husband Julian E. Wade. -Ms. Wade taught English and French in Georgia high schools for over 25 years, including four years at the former Lasseter High School in Macon (1965-69) and five years at Coffee High School in Douglas, GA (1969-74). She was named STAR Teacher at Crisp County High School in Cordele, GA in 1963. -She is survived by daughters, Bonnie Faulk, Arlington, VA; Jill (Donnie) Powell, Thomasville, GA; Teresa (Bob) Wade, Mountain Home, AR; and Ava (Paul) Wilson, Kathleen, GA; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister Elweda Hunt Oxford, Cordele, GA, and sister-in-law Opal (Charlie) Rich of Albany, GA. -A private memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9. -In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088, would be appreciated. -Friends may sign the online register at www.hartsmort.com. -Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street has charge of arrangements. Kathy Mitchell (Dean) (1969)

Mrs. Wade was always so calm, welcoming, and friendly.  A remarkable woman.  I never saw her feathers ruffled.  I liked her daugher, Jill, also. Condolences to her family on her passing.  I know she is missed.
