Macon, GA- Bean Judd, 60, passed away Monday, February 16th, 2015 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous two year battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
The funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Robert Gene Saunders will officiate.
Bean was born in Macon, Ga. to Elizabeth Judd and the late Walter Reed Judd. He graduated from Central High School in 1973. He began working for Anderson Chemical Company in 1980, where he dedicated 33 years of service and achieved membership in the Inner Circle. Bean had a love for music and enjoyed singing. He shared his love for music and singing with everyone. Bean enjoyed all sports. Bean especially loved traveling, whether to Blue Ridge, Ga. to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway or to downtown Macon to share his love and memories with his family. Bean will forever be remembered for his smile and his humor. He never met a stranger. Bean would want everyone to know that he has been blessed and lived his life to the fullest. Bean is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dina Judd; daughters: Brigitte (Nathan) Kittrell and Lauren Judd; brothers: Scott (Cathy) Judd, Kim (Brandi) Judd, Sean (Jennifer Craven) Judd, and Jon (Andreena) Judd; sisters: Janie (Neil) Godbee and Nancy Hackney; father-in-law, Harold White; brother-in-law, James White; sister-in-law, Angie White; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. His brother, Reed Judd, preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Bean and Bean's Brigade to The ALS Association Georgia Chapter, 5881 Glenridge Dr Suite 200, Atlanta, Georgia 30328.
