Macon, GA- Randy Westmoreland, 62, died Friday, August 17, 2012. Funeral services will be at 12:00PM on Monday, August 20, 2012 at St Joseph Catholic Church with Father Allan McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Family will greet friends between 5:00-7:00PM on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Mr. Westmoreland was the son of the late Gilmer Clarence Westmoreland, Sr. and the late Susie Sawyer Westmoreland. He was also predeceased by his sister, Rickie Westmoreland.

Born on September 5th, 1949, he was a devoted husband, wonderful father and grandfather, loyal son, brother and friend. A devout Christian he never knew a stranger and his life was a constant witness to his relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Mr. Westmoreland always had a smile and loved everyone. He taught Sunday School for 35 years positively influencing children's lives whom he loved and they loved him.

Mr. Westmoreland was a 1967 graduate from Mark Smith High School. His most recent employment was an assistant manager with Walmart in Perry. He served honorably in the US Army from 1969 to 1971. Sergeant Westmoreland served in Vietnam with the 1st Armored Calvary Division receiving a Bronze star.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Victoria Henderson Westmoreland of Macon; daughter, Amy Westmoreland Loyd (Waylon) of Macon; son, Randall Chad Westmoreland (Stephanie) of Eatonton; four grandchildren, Andrew Madison Loyd of Macon, Victoria Michelle Loyd of Macon, Ellie Grace Westmoreland of Eatonton, and Reid Lanier Westmoreland of Eatonton; brother, Johnny Westmoreland (Janice) of Milledgeville; brother, Gilmer Westmoreland (Holly) of Wichita Falls, Texas; and sister, Vickie Bledsoe of Dry Branch.
